Glenn Plummer Sued For Quitting Film After Being Paid Up Front

*A lawsuit has been filed against Glenn Plummer by a man claiming the paid the actor to star in his movie, only to see him drop out at the last minute.

According to the documents filed last week in Georgia, Lawyer Henderson claims Plummer dropped out of a movie he was making titled “The Governor’s Daughters.”

M-Bone Possibly Killed in Twitter Beef Over Girl

*TMZ is now reporting that murdered Cali Swag District member M-Bone may have been targeted after a Twitter war over a girl.

Sources say M-Bone’s friends have been telling investigators that he started seeing a girl after he returned to Los Angeles from his tour.  M-Bone’s friends say a guy who lived in the woman’s building didn’t like the relationship, and allegedly began threatening M-Bone via Twitter.

“We’re told M-Bone did not back down and the two men started cyber smack-talking each other,” TMZ reports.

Rihanna Addresses Twitter Anger over Following Chris Brown

*Exes Chris Brown and Rihanna are following each other on Twitter — and the fans aren’t very happy about it.

On Saturday, people began to notice that Brown — who beat his then-girlfriend Rihanna on the night of the Grammy Awards in 2009 — started following Rihanna on the social media website. In turn, she followed him as well.

A fan of Rihanna’s tweeted to her asking if this was a sign of reconciliation and perhaps revisiting a possible romance, Rihanna had a rather harsh reaction, writing, “its f—in twitter, not the alter [sic]! calm down.”

Common Producing His First Film

*After all the hub bub, so to speak, about his appearance at the White House last week, Common is trying something a little different and is getting behind the scenes a bit with a new indie film, “L.U.V.” as the producer.

He’ll also be staring in the flick as well.

In the film, Common, born Lonnie Rashid Lynn, plays Vincent, an ex convict who strikes up an unlikely friendship with his introverted 13-year-old nephew Woody while attempting to turn his life around.

Bulls Beat Heat 103-82 in Game 1 of Eastern Conference Finals

*Derrick Rose scored 28 points, Luol Deng contained LeBron James and the Chicago Bulls struck first in the Eastern Conference finals, pulling away to beat the Miami Heat 103-82 in Game 1 on Sunday night.

The Bulls are off to a good start after sweeping the Heat during the regular season. They went on a 10-0 run midway through the third quarter, then pulled away in the fourth.

As the final minutes ticked away, fans chanted “Over-rated!” and “Beat the Heat!”

ina Simone Film Starring Mary J. Blige Finalized

*Yay, the Nina Simone biopic is finally underway after a long delay. The film will star singer Mary J. Blige who will play the role of the jazz legend in the midst of her relationship with assistant Clifton Henderson.

Written by Cynthia Mort, the movie has actually been put off for years and just last year, it was sold, financed, and will begin shooting in the fall.

“I’m definitely still doing it and I’m in acting classes for it now. We start shooting at the end of the month!” the singer told BET.com.

NAACP Speaks Up for Master P

*Master P and son Romeo were performing at a night club in Hourma, La last week when a crew of 40 narcotics officers filled the place, along with a SWAT team.

In attendance were about 80-100 people at the nearly 300-person capacity venue. The law enforcements’ objective was unknown. Some speculated it might have been racially motivated.

“It had racial overtones,” Jerome Boykin, head of Terrebonne’s NAACP told local paper Houma Today. “When you have white rock groups come to town you don’t have this much.”
