What is the World Coming to? Haitians Eating Dirt!

Impoverished Haitians are resorting to eating cookies made of mud to satisfy hunger pains. The cookies are made of dirt, salt and vegetable shortening.

The cookies which are regularly used by pregnant women and children as an antacid and source of calcium have now become a regular meal for Haitians who can't afford other food. Haitians who live off of barely $2 a day can't afford to pay for rice so instead they are feeding off hunger with 5 cent dirt cookies.

If this doesn't make you appreciate life's blessings I don't know what will! Keep your heads up!

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds Update - Why They Broke it Off

Eddie Murphy as a Jekyll and Hyde? That's what the reports are saying about his recent split with Tracey Edmonds after only 2 weeks of ceremonial marriage. Initial reports had been that the couple split after Edmonds refused to sign a prenuptial agreement. But recently, insiders are saying that Murphy and Edmonds broke it off after Eddie Murphy became physically intimidating and controlling toward Edmonds.

The New York Post was told by the anonymous source, "That was kind of the last straw. She was happy to sign a prenup - she has her own money. She was very accommodating. But then it was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."

The source also stated that Eddie Murphy wanted to take his MOTHER on the honeymoon with he and Edmonds.

"Eddie became very controlling and insisted on bringing his mother on their honeymoon," the source stated further.

"They got into a huge fight. He started screaming at her and grabbed her. She was scared."

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds were married on an island in French Polynesia on New Year's Day. Although the couple had announced that they would have a civil ceremony once they returned to the US, Murphy and Edmonds never followed up.

The inside source says that Edmonds was initially quite devoted to Murphy, "She was even willing to change her name to Tracey Murphy, and all the wedding invites and place cards had her labeled as such."

Edmonds' reps had nothing to say, but Murphy's reps stated, "We won't comment any further on this."

There were also reports that Murphy's mother did not get along with Edmonds and that this was a source of stress in the marriage. Eddie then allegedly sided with his mother, which led to further alienation for Edmonds. Finally, Edmonds' own children were apparently not too happy with Murphy, leading to additional conflict.

Murphy has five children with his wife, Nicole. He also had another child with Mel B, the former Spice Girl.

Another Day Another Dollar

With everyone from Diddy to Snoop taking a stab at reality TV it’s no wonder Jamie Foxx wouldn’t get a piece of the pie! According to whispers around the industry mill Jamie Foxx is in talks with MTV networks about a new reality show called “From G’s To Gents” the show will have a sort of Charm School feel to it but for dudes!

The concept is to take 15 G’s and polish them up in various areas such as business and etiquette to give them a shot at finding success. Kudos to Jamie….. if anyone knows how to turn his gangster on and off it’s a dude who can sip Patron through a straw and still win an Oscar! Ok Jamie we see you! No word as to a release date but we’ll keep ya posted.

Dannielyn's Eye Problem

LARRY BIRKHEAD explains Dannielyn's eye problems on ET and was overwhelmed with response from caring fans. ANNA NICOLE SMITH's baby girl is wearing an eyepatch.

"She has strabismus, which is a turning in of one of her eyes, and it's something that we've been looking out for for a while. I've been taking her to the doctors and ... Anna had taken Dannielynn to the doctor [in the Bahamas] to see about it when she was just a few months old."

Found in about five percent of children, the eye condition is perhaps better known as "cross-eyed" and it is something that cannot be outgrown and must be treated. An eyepatch is used to cover the strong eye in an effort to strengthen the weak one.

"I got her a little pirate doll to show her that people wear patches, and it's okay," says Larry, "and daddy wears a patch if he has to to show her it's okay. I've been really aggressive with the patch as much as I can be. At first she was really open to it and it didn't really bother her. Now, she's gotten a little smart because she can pull it off, so it's a little bit harder for me to patch her."

But if the eyepatch doesn't work, or if using medicated eyedrops to dilate the pupil fails, little Dannielynn may face surgery.

"I'm going to do everything to make sure that it's corrected," says Larry, "but having lost Anna and [her son] DANIEL and my dad -- my dad just came out of a simple surgery and he died -- it's just tough for me to think about surgeries with [Dannielynn]."

And Larry staunchly defends any suggestion in the tabloids and on Web blogs that Dannielynn's condition has anything to do with methadone or any medications Anna may have taken during her pregnancy.

"All of the opinions that I had [from doctors], every one of them said that it's very, very unlikely, because no one knows 100 percent what causes [strabismus]," says Larry. "But I point-blank ask every single doctor, 'Could any medications that Anna was on have caused this?' and they said that it's more likely that a genetic reason could have caused it."

The actress is reported to have spent over £1000 on babywear at LA boutique Petit Tresor last week. Suri got a new summer wardrobe and Katie also picked out baby clothes. 'Katie ordered loads of cute girlie spring dresses for Suri,' a source reveals. 'But she also bought a pink T-shirt which said Big Sister and two matching rompers suits, one which said Little Sister; the other saying Little Brother.' In December last year Katie, 29, admitted she'd love more kids with Tom, 45. 'She had it all figured out,' the source tells People. 'She would shoot her new movie and then get pregnant. She was hoping to have the baby by the end of the year, go back to work next spring and have another film out by the end of 2009. 'Both she and Tom - especially Tom - were hoping to have their next baby before Katie turns 30 in December.'

Rapper Lil Wayne was arrested for felony drug possession early on Wednesday when his charter bus was stopped at a California-Arizona border checkpoint, authorities said. Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was arrested in southwestern Arizona on suspicion of possessing cocaine and ecstasy, as well as drug paraphernalia, authorities said. He was being held in Yuma County Jail on a $10,185 bond.
