Michael Jackson's sudden death stunned the world. But his death will never be as important as his life. For this reason, Brooklyn's own, Spike Lee, will use August 29th, what would have been Jackson's 51st birthday, as a day for Brooklyn residents to celebrate in true Brooklyn-style, a block party.
Its being held at the Fort Greene Park from noon to 5 p.m. and is open for everyone to attend. The DJ will spin all Jackson's music and at the end partygoers will all sing "Happy Birthday" to him.
"We're going to make sure he hears us, too." Lee said. "All over the world, people are going to be celebrating his birthday. But he's going to hear Brooklyn; Brooklyn is going to be in the house. Deep." Click Here For More
