What the Ha-Yell reports:
The pulpit is a long way from the Player’s Club.
Actress Lisa Raye McCoy, best known as stripper-with-a-heart, Diamond, in the urban classic movie, Player’s Club, has the streets---and the congregations---on fire (and brimstone) with the rumor that she’s dating prominent LA Bishop Noel Jones, founder of Noel Jones Ministries and brother of Grace Jones.
His mega-church, City of Refuge, often sees mega-stars in its pews, and we’re quite sure many of them have seen a slide in the polls (Ok, that was the last one), but the idea of Lisa Raye dating a pastor is simply the most hilarious on-dit we’ve heard all day.
McCoy, 44, who famously married Michael Misick, former Premier of the Turks and Caicos islands, is now divorced after accusations of infidelity and abuse surrounded the couple. She is currently starring in VH1’s sexy and hilarious new series, Single Ladies, created and produced by Queen Latifah.
This isn’t Jones first foray into celebreality. The divorced father of three was previously rumored that he dated Real Housewife of Atlanta star, NeNe Leakes. While that was allegedly a mere fling, there is talk that McCoy is pitching a reality show for the right Rev, called “Keeping Up With The Jones,” and that the odd couple is talking marriage.
The scripture,“Jesus wept” probably applies here.
