Rapper Asher Roth Disses Pres. Obama

by Madam Toussaint

Rap newcomer Asher Roth had this to say about President Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize:

“Didn't know you could win the peace prize by just talking sh*t...I'm all for "hope" and "progress" but people have been dedicating their lives for peace - actions speak louder than words - my opinion only...@Cpetty281 I disagree, I think change starts at the basement level - change starts with us, the people - were being manipulated Has nothing to do with "Obama" and everything to do with the "Peace Prize" - change starts with us, the people - who's gon wake up first? Seek truth.”

President Obama described himself as surprised and deeply humbled. So in response to the Norwegian Nobel Committee's it seems people have broken down into 3 camps.

The first, those who hate this decision.
The second, those who like this decision.
The third, those who are pretty confused.

Pastor Prays for Obama’s Death

By Eddie B. Allen Jr.

If you’re seeking prayer from Arizona pastor Steven Anderson, be careful what you ask for. It was Anderson who on Sunday told his congregation at Faithful Word Baptist Church that not forgiveness but death is what he asks God to give President Barack Obama. Anderson made the statement for the second time this month after claiming that his church members have gotten death threats. An Aug. 16 “sermon” took aim at the commander in chief himself, rather than his positions, a day before Obama appeared in Phoenix.

On Sunday, though, Anderson took the insult to a new level, by specifying how he wants the president to suffer, probably to spare himself from the attention of federal agents: "If you want to know how I'd like to see Obama die, I'd like him to die of natural causes. I don't want him to be a martyr, we don't need another holiday. I'd like to see him die, like Ted Kennedy, of brain cancer."

The original sermon can be downloaded from among many others listed at the church’s Web site, www.faithfulwordbaptist.org.

“‘Well you just mean you don’t like what he stands for,’” Anderson tells the church. “No, I hate the person. ‘Well you just mean you don’t like his politics.’ No, I hate him!”

It has since been revealed that the Black man featured on YouTube carrying an assault weapon on his shoulder outside Obama’s Phoenix event was at Anderson’s church for the hateful sermon. It has also been revealed that the man, “Chris,” who attends Faithful Word, showed up with the weapon as a publicity stunt to show the legality of carrying guns – apparently another statement to Obama.

Happy 48th Birthday President Barack Obama

Presiden Barack Obama

Yup that’s right President Barack Obama turned 48 today, but he won’t be celebrating his day with his family or friends.  Instead he will be partying it up with the Congressional Democrats talking about health care and the state of the economy, sounds like fun!!!

President Barack Obama Speaks the Truth

President Barack Obama spoke at the NAACP convention this week and he had some important words for all African Americans. His speech seemed a lot similar to the controversial speech that Bill Cosby gave a few years ago, but I am sure his will be better accepted. To hear what President Obama said click the picture above to watch his entire speech or read some of it below.

“We’ve got to say to our children, Yes, if you’re African-American, the odds of growing up amid crime and gangs are higher. Yes, if you live in a poor neighborhood, you will face challenges that someone in a wealthy suburb does not have to face. That’s not a reason to get bad grades, that’s not a reason to cut class, that’s not a reason to give up on your education and drop out of school,” he said. “No one has written your destiny for you. Your destiny is in your hands – and don’t you forget that.”

“When it comes to higher education, we are making college and advanced training more affordable, and strengthening community colleges that are a gateway to so many with an initiative that will prepare students not only to earn a degree but find a job when they graduate; an initiative that will help us meet the goal I have set of leading the world in college degrees by 2020,”

First Lady Michelle Obama brings Black History to the White House

Michelle Obama hosted an event for three local schools in the White House to celebrate Black History. According to the details below the First Lady was elated to know that the children were aware that the White House was built by slaves:

Mrs. Obama seemed a bit surprised when the sixth- and seventh-graders from three local schools said yes, they knew slaves helped build the White House, that President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation upstairs in a bedroom named for him, and that the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders met in the building with Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson to discuss the end of segregation.

“So you guys know your history. That’s a good thing,” she said. “That means your parents and teachers are doing their jobs.”

Mrs. Obama encouraged them to look beyond the names in the history books and to “think about the extraordinary people who live in your own world,” like parents, grandparents and teachers, “all those folks who play important roles in black history and American history every single day.”
