Usher Is Officially a Free Man
BV Buzz has learned exclusively that the 30-year-old singer's divorce from his wife Tameka Foster has been finalized and an agreement was reached in pre-court settlement.
The camps aren't talking now – likely preparing to give an exclusive to a media outlet like People magazine – but I hear an official announcement should drop soon.
A rep for the singer did not answer a detailed request for comment.
Foster's publicist refuses to issue statements to BV Buzz anymore.
"In the future please don't bother us again for direct quotes or responses from Tameka," a one-named flack named Melody e-mailed last week.
Usher is currently in Paris, France celebrating the end to the two-year marriage.

Tameka has been ridiculed by bloggers since she hit the scene as Usher's new arm piece, now more so than ever in the middle of an ugly divorce Tameka's good friend decided to speak out and set the record straight! Read below:
Breaking up is never easy, especially in the public eye. The most recent celebrity couple to join love on the battlefield is Usher and Tameka Foster Raymond. Since their friendship blossomed into a romance, the couple’s relationship was under intense public scrutiny and Usher fans and bloggers often balked at his decision to make Tameka—a longtime friend and stylist—his wife and mother of his children.
ESSENCE.com sat down with Tameka’s friend of 20-plus years Nyeisha DeWitt, an educator and doctoral candidate, to set the record straight on all the rumors and why she’s fed up with the blogosphere painting an ugly picture of her BFF.
ESSENCE.COM: Many are probably wondering why you’re choosing to speak now after Tameka endured a hailstorm of criticism for years.
NYEISHA DEWITT: Let me first say that I hope Tameka and Usher can salvage things as a couple. I’ve known Tameka since I was in middle school and she was in high school, and we’ve been friends since. It’s not that I have to defend her or speak on her behalf as if she’s done something wrong, but I simply want people to know everything they read about her isn’t true. It hurts me to read the lies that people write and say about her.
ESSENCE.COM: Is it true she first learned that Usher filed for divorce after reading about it?
DEWITT: She didn’t know that he was going to file. Of course, she knew that there were challenges in their relationship and had been some discord since March and was aware there were some things that needed to be worked through. But did she know that divorce was imminent? No. It was a total surprise.
ESSENCE.COM: To your knowledge, is it true that they’ve been separated for the past year?
DEWITT: That’s not true and there’s proof of that if people would take the time to do their research. I was at her birthday party that he hosted in Las Vegas last January and he flew in all of her family and close friends to celebrate. When I read that people were reporting they’d been separated for a year I’m thinking, That’s insane!, because that would mean he left her when she was two months pregnant with Naviyd, and Usher Raymond, V, was only five months old.
ESSENCE.COM: Was Tameka also caught off guard by the images of Usher and Def Jam’s Grace Miguel?
DEWITT: I don’t know what it is or isn’t. What I admire about Tameka is that, despite all the gossip, she isn’t bitter or hardened by it. I don’t know how she does it especially with children [from a previous relationship] old enough to read the lies that are written. It’s like having to keep your hands at your side while someone repeatedly punches you in your face.
ESSENCE.COM: Despite owning her business and a successful career as a stylist, Tameka is often perceived as a gold digger. Why is that?
DEWITT: I have no idea. I know how hard she worked to build her business. She was pulling in at least a quarter of a million dollar salary working with Usher, Lauryn Hill and others, so to negate her personal success as an entrepreneur is wrong. After marriage she chose to be a mother and wife and focus on doing more charity work.
ESSENCE.COM: Is it true she flew to Brazil to have liposuction and subsequently went into cardiac arrest during surgery?
DEWITT: Yes, she went to Brazil with friends but decided to have the surgery on a whim. And yes, she did go into cardiac arrest but she never had the surgery. What she had was an allergic reaction to the anesthesia which prevented her from going through with the surgery.
ESSENCE.COM: Do you think she still loves him?
DEWITT: You’re married until the divorce is official. Just because she’s going through this process doesn’t mean that the loyalty and love she has for him is gone. It would be dishonest to say that she doesn’t still love him and isn’t hurting. Again, the idea that people are excited to see her in pain and going through this with her children is so beyond my comprehension. These bloggers talk about her as if she has personally harmed them. They don’t know the woman I know, and to discredit her as a mom or wife is insane. My hope is that people will not rejoice in anyone’s failed marriage and allow Usher and Tameka to go through their process privately.

Usher and stylist Tameka Foster have been living apart for the past year, according to U.S. publication In Touch.
Divorce papers were filed in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday morning (11Jun09). The shocking news comes just four months after Foster suffered cardiac arrest during cosmetic surgery in Brazil. At the time, Usher, who flew to be by her side, insisted he had no idea his wife was there for the procedure. A source close to the couple says, “Usher’s primary concern is for his children. He is a great father and just wants to do what is right for them.” The couple has two kids together, Usher Raymond V, 18 months, and Naviyd, six months.

Oh Happy Day: Usher Files for Legal Separation!
According to sources Usher has filed for legal separation from his wife Tameeka Foster. Sources also say that the mysterious woman Usher was seen with last week in LA is not his new beau and apparently is married! Rad below:
Egyptsaidso states: Over the weekend, Usher was seen bringing a woman out of his Los Angeles hotel room at one o’clock in the morning. Usher’s people claim that it was just a business meeting and the woman was just Usher’s “product manager.” According to sources the woman in question is a 42 year old Def Jam executive named Grace Miguel who is married to video production company owner, Lou Miguel of Box Fresh Films. That’s odd because Usher’s label is Arista, not Def Jam. So was he creeping on Tameka or planning to bounce from his label??? Insiders say that they are officially over and that Usher plans to file for separation in the coming days.
A hard head makes a soft bottom Usher huh? Too bad two kids had to come out of this....
Usher is Moving Mountains... or Just Plain Moving On!
There are some rumors swirling around the net that Usher and Tameeka are having trouble in paradise ever since her near death chop shop visit aka plastic surgery stunt! Read the details below about it all including who this new chick is in the photo:
For months the rumor mill said that Usher and Tameka were going downhill since her near death experience and surgery slip in Brazil. Well, Tameka and her crazy antics may have driven “Ersher” into the arms of this lady up top. The mystery lady and Usher were seen going in and out of Usher’s Santa Monica Hotel…at one in the morning last night too. There is nothing to explain or excuse Usher for bringing a pretty girl into his hotel room so late at night.
Well it's about damn time.... Can't wait to see how this one plays out folks two kids and a mean divorce settlement later lol!
Father and Son Time
Usher was spotted leaving LAX with his son Usher V over the weekend, and I am happy to see a father taking part in their child's life. Now this is the first time I have seen the baby since he was on the cover of Essence and I must say he looks QUITE different. I wonder what the other baby looks like???
Tameeka is Released from the Hospital...
Usher wife has been released from the Brazilian hospital that almost killed her ass during plastic surgery read below for details:
Usher’s wife is finally out of the hospital after spending more than a week at a swanky facility in Brazil. Tameka Foster Raymond was released Monday night from Sao Paulo’s Hospital Sirio Libanes, a source tells the Associated Press, where she was admitted after suffering complications from plastic surgery. Her husband was spotted boarding a plane to the U.S. Tuesday without his wife. Raymond is on the road to recovery from a heart attack she suffered during a lipsuction procedure and is currently taking…… antibiotics to fight a lung infection, according to Brazil’s Globo TV.
All jokes aside I hope she has a speedy recovery so she can get back to being Ushers third leg, can't keep him unattended for too long ;-)
A Drama Filled Grammy Award
Seems like there are going to be a few big time artist missing from this years Grammys. Chris Brown won't be in attendance because of his investigation, Rihanna won't be either, and now it looks like Usher won't be. Usher canceled his performance at Clive Davis's Annual Pre-Grammy party due to a "family emergency", which involved his wife Tameka. It has been reported that Tameka is experiencing complication from her recent plastic surgery, but these reports haven't been confirmed. Now I usually don't have anything nice to say about her but I hope she has a safe and speedy recovery.Usher & the Little One

Usher Opens Up for Once... It's About Time!
Usher did a recent interview with a UK mag and he touched on some real issues in his life including his relationship with his dad peep this:
About his father passing:
Alcohol and substance abuse led to [my father's] death. He had many problems and never addressed it. Unfortunately it went on too long and took his life ... My father became a failure to substance abuse and I didn't empathize with him, I didn't have sympathy because I thought it was a cop-out."
About his first encounter with his father who left him as a toddler:
"My mother unsurprisingly wasn't very fond of my father - she kept her distance and suggested I did as well. She never wanted me to meet my dad. But as a man I had to make my own decision. What if he died and I never got the chance to meet him?
I was happy that I did, happy that I got closure, happy that I forgave him for not being there and that I knew he really did love me.
About his son not meeting his Grandfather:
My son didn't meet his grandfather because I felt this vicious cycle of life was far too repetitive. I felt like my son helped to break a curse that has plagued my family, of fathers not being there for their sons.
Finally Usher talks about something other than his mediocre album which produced more bootleg numbers than sold! Pretty interesting why can't he give interviews like this in the US of A I'm offended lol!
