Within 48 hours of its series premiere on Sunday, the cable network has announced it has picked up the post-Katrina drama for a second season.
The show, which tracks the lives of a diverse group of residents in the Treme neighborhood as they rebuild their lives thee months after the hurricane, attracted 1.4 million viewers for its 10 p.m. Sunday debut.
