Rapper/singer M.I.A. is lashing out at critics who insist that she and Lady Gaga have similar music styles.
The “Paper Planes” rapper, whose voice is sampled in the Jay-Z/Kanye West/Lil Wayne/T.I. single “Swagger Like Us,” says she’s impressed by Gaga’s ability to “mimic” her heroes but insists she hasn’t done enough to establish herself as an innovator.
