Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush is crossing over from New Orleans to Miami. The deal went down on Thursday with the Miami Dolphins negotiating Bush’s new contract. ESPN reports that “Saints coach Sean Payton confirmed the deal, which sends reserve safety Jonathon Amaya to New Orleans and also involves an exchange of undisclosed draft picks. Bush agreed to a two-year contract for nearly $10 million with the Dolphins, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter Thursday.” According to reports, Bush was supposed to make approximately $11.8 million dollars this season in the final year of his contract. It would not have been easy, however, for them to pay him this amount due to current salary restrictions.
