Foxy Brown has gotten off of the hook after her latest run in with the law. While already on probation for an incident that happened with a neighbor back in 2010, she violated her terms of agreement last July when she allegedly mooned her neighbor. Because the alleged victim, Arlene Raymond, was not willing to testify against Brown, the case was dismissed on July 13th.
Yet, the fact that Brown was able to escape punishment was not good enough for her. It is being reported that Brown “apparently felt violated that prosecutors pressed charges against her…and is planning on filing a $100 million-dollar lawsuit against the city of New York.”
Salvatore Strazzullo, Brown’s lawyer, is filing a claim against the Assistant District Attorney’s office as well. He claims that his client was treated “maliciously.” He added that he could not believe law officials would rather spend tax dollars pressing charges against Brown when school budgets are being cut. Specifically Strazzullo asked the question, “Do we want our tax dollars going for this?”.
It looks like Brown’s team blowing all of that steam will be for nothing — at least according to a representative for New York’s Corporation Counsel. The rep for NYC’s legal team said they “‘have not seen any legal papers’ from Brown’s team…adding that the assistant district attorneys have ‘absolute immunity’ from being prosecuted, and the city would likely move for immediate dismissal.”
