Gayle King is downplaying a lawsuit filed last week against her best friend Oprah Winfrey by a former flight attendant who claimed she was fired after King's daughter and another flight attendant on Winfrey's private jet accused her of sleeping with the pilot.
In the filing, Corrine Gehrls accuses fellow flight staff Myron Gooch and Kirby Bumpus - King's daughter - of lying to Winfrey about the alleged onboard act to get rid of her. She is demanding damages of $75,000.
