Good morning. I’m getting straight to the point with this one. They say black women aren’t getting married. The ratio of African American newly-weds happens to be a very low number in comparison to other races.
I wonder why?
Is it the number of incarcerated men? Is there a shortage of black men for black women? Is it the economy, people just can’t afford weddings and families. Or is it a time of full fledge courting with no commitment?
Is it the possibility that my generation, the 80’s babies have no demands for the new generation men?
I know the saying “Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free”. Well, that’s it ladies. We are giving up the Milk for free, so there is no need for marriage. Think about it, we are living with men, sharing finances, having his babies, taking on his responsibilities, and there is NO “I DO” behind it. “Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free”.
You must have an expectation for your man, he has to appreciate you and not take you and your companionship for granted. When a man value you, he is less likely to handle you carelessly. A husband values his wife, because he knows “it’s cheaper to keep her”.
In today’s society, men don’t even have to claim women they date. They pass them up on campus, and sleep with them behind closed doors. This is the behavior that will have black women single more than any other race, because when we meet a good man that has the ability to be our husbands, we don’t have any more milk to produce.
We are tired and worn out, then we meet a good man with no tricks, and we don’t even know how to treat him. I have seen so many good guys over-looked for the sake of jerks. Well Ladies, let’s preserve our Milk for our husbands, and stop letting niggas get the milk for free!
Every woman is deserving of being a man’s wife, and it’s okay to be a wife before you are a mother (that’s in style)!
